If you don't, it's not. I find the Bronco to balance well, I love the light weight, and the neck feels great.Unscrew the outer (black) screws. Put them somewhere safe. Gently pop the backplate up, not all the way off because the electronics are still attached. Holding the internal part of the dials in place with one hand, use needle-nose pliers to tighten the nuts on the external posts. If the bass is defretted you must fill the fret slots and sand level before applying epoxy. It's not easy to get a professional looking job but it can be done. I'd mix up a small amount and test the technique first on a small piece of hardwood.
