Based on what you're describing, it sounds like you prefer the suburbs. You'll likely find what you're looking for in Fishers, Carmel, Zionsville (Hamilton county), Brownsburg, or Avon (Hendricks county). $350-$400k is a great price point in the Indy area. Nowhere near as much competition in that range as $250-350k.Be aware that the advertised prices at every other dealer are fake by at least a couple thousand. Carmax prices are usually pretty well spot-on with the actual value or a tiny bit high.
